I am a resident of California, and I am writing to urge you to protect Glenn Medical Center’s critical access designation and keep our only emergency room open.
Losing our ER would put the health and safety of nearly 30,000 residents at risk. Many people in our community are elderly, have limited transportation, or face serious health challenges. If the ER closes, some would have to travel 45 minutes or more to the nearest emergency care in Chico, a delay that could be life-threatening.
Glenn County already faces a severe shortage of doctors and some of the highest cancer death rates in the state. Our local hospital is essential for timely care, supporting law enforcement, and ensuring the well-being of everyone in our area.
Please do everything possible to keep Glenn Medical Center’s emergency room open. Our community depends on it.
